In 2019, Romania's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 4.3% compared to 2018, reaching 29,144.

Romania ranks 10th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 43.0% (from 51,116 in 2014).
