Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2017, Slovakia's population change increased by 3.1% compared to 2016, reaching 9.9.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Slovakia ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.1% (from 9.7 in 2012).
