Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2019, Slovakia's population change decreased by 2.0% compared to 2018, reaching 9.8.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Slovakia ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.2% (from 9.5 in 2014).
