Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1972, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 1971, reaching 70.3.

Slovakia ranks 10th out of 13 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.1% (from 71.1 in 1967).
