Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1999, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.5% compared to 1998, reaching 73.2.

Slovakia ranks 19th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.0% (from 72.5 in 1994).
