Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1981, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.7% compared to 1980, reaching 74.9.

Slovakia ranks 11th out of 17 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.1% (from 74.1 in 1976).
