Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1995, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.1% compared to 1994, reaching 68.4.

Slovakia ranks 18th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.5% (from 66.7 in 1990).
