Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1998, Slovakia's life expectancy by age and sex decreased by 0.4% compared to 1997, reaching 68.6.

Slovakia ranks 20th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.2% (from 67.8 in 1993).
