Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 5.7% compared to 2022, reaching 24.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 45.4%.

Slovakia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.6% (from 21.5% in 2018).
