Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 2.9% compared to 2023, reaching 24.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 47.5%.

Slovakia ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.7% (from 22.1% in 2019).
