Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Slovakia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.4% compared to 2021, reaching 17.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 23.0%.

Slovakia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 52.5% (from 11.5% in 2017).
