At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2022, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 6.9% compared to 2021, reaching 18.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.3%.

Spain ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.4% (from 14.8% in 2017).
