In 2022, Spain's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 5.0% compared to 2021, reaching 21.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.4%.

Spain ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.0% (from 22.2% in 2017).
