At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2022, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.8% compared to 2021, reaching 21.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.4%.

Italy ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.8% (from 21.1% in 2017).
