At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2024, Sweden's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 8.1% compared to 2023, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.3%.

Sweden ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 15.3% (from 21.5% in 2019).
