In 2020, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 5.5% compared to 2019, reaching 311,038.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.2% (from 399,646 in 2015).
