In 2022, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 3.4% compared to 2021, reaching 298,778.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 17.0% (from 360,113 in 2017).
