Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2016, Sweden's population change decreased by 1.1% compared to 2015, reaching 9.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.2.

Sweden ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.2% (from 9.5 in 2011).
