In 2022, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 19.6% compared to 2021, reaching 9,299.

Sweden ranks 6th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 31.8% (from 7,058 in 2017).
