Population on 1 January by age group and sex

In 1998, Sweden's population on 1 january by age group and sex increased by 1.6% compared to 1997, reaching 427,488.

Sweden ranks 7th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.5% (from 390,240 in 1993).
