Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2016, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 1.1% compared to 2015, reaching 89,055.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.6% (from 94,316 in 2011).
