In 2017, Sweden's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 1.0% compared to 2016, reaching 89,981.

Sweden ranks 4th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.2% (from 88,066 in 2012).
