At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2010, Austria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 3.4% compared to 2009, reaching 16.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

Austria ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 20.9% (from 13.9% in 2005).
