Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2012, Austria's population change increased by 3.3% compared to 2011, reaching 9.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.1.

Austria ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.4% (from 9.0 in 2007).
