Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Austria's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.3% compared to 2024, reaching 77.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 75.4%.

Austria ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.6% (from 76.5% in 2020).
