Employment rates by citizenship

In 2025, Hungary's employment rates by citizenship increased by 0.1% compared to 2024, reaching 78.8%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 75.4%.

Hungary ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.1% (from 77.2% in 2020).
