Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 4.2% compared to 2009, reaching 10.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 5.5%.

Austria ranks 1st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 111.1% (from 5.1% in 2005).
