In 2024, Austria's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 2.2% compared to 2023, reaching 37.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 36.1%.

Austria ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.7% (from 33.8% in 2019).
