At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, France's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 4.6% compared to 2020, reaching 18.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.6%.

France ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 3.1% (from 19.1% in 2016).
