Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Belgium's main indicators increased by 33.5% compared to 2008, reaching 6.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Belgium ranks 21st out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 260.3% (from 1.7% in 2004).
