Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2009, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 14.6% compared to 2008, reaching 4.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 48.5% (from 2.8% in 2004).
