Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Belgium's main indicators increased by 53.8% compared to 2015, reaching 6.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Belgium ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 25.6% (from 4.8% in 2011).
