Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2016, Germany's main indicators increased by 6.8% compared to 2015, reaching 7.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Germany ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.5% (from 6.5% in 2011).
