Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Belgium's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 4.4% compared to 2023, reaching 12.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Belgium ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 86.5% (from 6.8% in 2019).
