Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, France's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 8.5% compared to 2023, reaching 10.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

France ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.7% (from 9.2% in 2019).
