Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 3.7% compared to 2023, reaching 9.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Luxembourg ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 22.7% (from 7.7% in 2019).
