Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2024, Germany's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.9% compared to 2023, reaching 12.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 11.2%.

Germany ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 62.1% (from 7.6% in 2019).
