At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2023, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 3.9% compared to 2022, reaching 26.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 19.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.1% (from 26.6% in 2018).
