At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Bulgaria's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 23.3% compared to 2015, reaching 24.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.3%.

Bulgaria ranks 5th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.1% (from 31.2% in 2011).
