At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2016, Romania's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 1.5% compared to 2015, reaching 19.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.3%.

Romania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 29.1% (from 14.8% in 2011).
