In 2019, Bulgaria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 10.2% compared to 2018, reaching 33,172.

Bulgaria ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.6% (from 41,246 in 2014).
