In 2020, Bulgaria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 18.5% compared to 2019, reaching 27,036.

Bulgaria ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 29.4% (from 38,315 in 2015).
