Fertility indicators

In 1973, Bulgaria's fertility indicators increased by 5.9% compared to 1972, reaching 2.15.

Bulgaria ranks 9th out of 18 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.3% (from 2.27 in 1968).
