Population structure indicators at national level

In 2009, Bulgaria's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.2% compared to 2008, reaching 42.0.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 41.0.

Bulgaria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.7% (from 40.9 in 2004).
