Distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group

In 2025, Bulgaria's distribution of population by tenure status, type of household and income group increased by 0.1% compared to 2024, reaching 86.1%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 68.5%.

Bulgaria ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.1% (from 84.3% in 2020).
