Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2022, Bulgaria's main indicators decreased by 1.6% compared to 2021, reaching 19.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 23.0%.

Bulgaria ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.1% (from 18.7% in 2017).
