Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2024, Bulgaria's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 10.8% compared to 2023, reaching 33.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.1%.

Bulgaria ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.1% (from 27.9% in 2019).
