In 2019, Bulgaria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 18.8% compared to 2018, reaching 6,226.

Bulgaria ranks 18th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 59.4% (from 15,327 in 2014).
