In 2018, Bulgaria's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 13.4% compared to 2017, reaching 7,664.

Bulgaria ranks 18th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 55.3% (from 17,163 in 2013).
