Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2024, Bulgaria's unemployment by sex and age increased by 1.7% compared to 2023, reaching 12.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.9%.

Bulgaria ranks 19th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 1.7% (from 12.1% in 2019).
